Permit Pain? Qualification Quibbles? Document Dilemas?
It all sounds a bit Harry Potter's doesn't it? But you know, collecting and tracking permits is a massive pain on construction projects. Despite your best efforts to round them up, all too often, they only turn up at the end of the job and can hold up completion certificates. Similarly, collecting qualifications and other documents from companies or workers is onerous and time consuming. Time you could better spend on other things.
Well, we have once again been super-busy in the Bot Factory and we have a new Bot that will take care of this admin for you - meet Permit / Qualifications Tracking Bot.
Get the docs you need from the right people
Permit / Qualifications Tracking Bot is here to help. You can define exactly which documents you need to collect, like a Fire Department Hot Work Permit or Smoke Detector Bagging Permit. Each document you want to collect and track has it's criteria specified separately. Is the permit for a company or a person? Which trades is it required from? Which companies should be included or excluded? And obviously, where should it be saved in Procore? For example, you need a certain permit from every Foreman whose trade is electrical, plumbing or HVAC, but need to exclude a particular company. Nyfty sorts it, and saves it in the right spot.
Finally, you can also collect qualifications / tickets / cards from a workers, such as an Electrical Qualification from the Electricians working on the site, and the Bot won't chase people that don't need to supply permits or qualifications.
Nobody sneaks past Nyfty
Permits / Qualifications Bot works bot-hand in bot-hand with Attendance Bot. Once you have set up your config, Permits / Qualifications Bot monitors Attendance Bot for anybody checking in that meets the specified criteria and requests any required document from them.
It's so easy for them to respond, making them more likely to do so! For instance, the Bot sends a text request to a Foreman from a trade partner. They receive a link showing them which documents they need to supply. They can then instantly upload the docs, if they have them, or there's an option where Nyfty will forward the request to the email address of the person in the office, who can upload the document on their behalf.
Nyfty then stores any requested permits or qualifications in the place you have specified in Procore. And, being a very vigilant Bot, it continues to track the documents to ensure they are current, requesting an update if the document expires.
